S-Video To Composite Converter

The following circuit is an S-Video to Composite converter. All transistors BC547, BC567 and BC337 are from Philips Semiconductor. The S-Video is composed of 2 signals, chrominance and luminance. The chrominance has the RGB color information and the luminance is the luminosity. The luminance is called the Yuv signal or the Y signal and the chrominance is called U and V ( or R-Y and B-Y). Note that if we connect a television with only the Y signal, a black and white image will appear since the color info is missing. It is important to state that the quartz crystal is simply a filter and avoids intermodulation between the two signals.
